SWOT had special eyes that could measure the water in lakes. It knew if the water was going up or down and how big the lakes were.
SLakes can change in size, and SWOT wanted to know why. Sometimes they get bigger, sometimes smaller, and SWOT was like a detective trying to solve this puzzle.
SWOT was like a superhero for our planet. It helped scientists understand water better. It told them if there's too much water somewhere (like during floods) or not enough (like during droughts).
SWOT wanted to be so good at its job that it could see lakes as small as a football field from space!
SWOT didn't wear a cape, but it was still a hero. It helped us protect our environment and be ready for changes in the weather by watching over our water.
And so, SWOT, the Lake Explorer, kept flying high above Earth, helping us understand and take care of the water all around us. Its mission is ongoing, always learning more about our amazing planet and its water.
